How do I get an estimate for my event?
Start with a free consultation at the Old Oaks showroom. We’ll discuss your ideas and needs, then provide a breakdown of costs. Items and your date are reserved once the deposit is received.
Can I modify my existing reservation?
Yes. The current Old Oaks FAQ says rental items can be removed up until 30 days before pickup or delivery, and items can be added until the day of your event. Confirm your specific terms in your rental agreement.
How far in advance should I schedule a consultation?
Whenever you’re ready. Having your venue and colors finalized can help the consultation go smoothly. Old Oaks recommends reaching out sooner to help ensure your favorite items are available.
When is payment due?
The current FAQ requests a 50% rental deposit when signing the contract to secure your items. Final payment is due 30 days before pickup or delivery. Additional needs added later may be billed after the event.
What is the cancellation policy?
The current FAQ states that deposits are non-refundable. Please review your contract for the complete terms that apply to your event.
Why is sales tax applied to rentals?
The current site explains that Illinois treats rentals of tangible items like retail purchases for sales tax purposes. It states that service-related fees such as delivery, setup, and customization are not subject to sales tax.
Do you offer delivery and setup?
Delivery and setup options are available. You can also pick up rentals from the Fairbury location and handle transportation and setup yourself. See the pricing page for posted details.
